Cloud Break Over Jenny Lake, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

After many days of waiting for unique lighting, I returned to the shores of Jenny Lake for what looked like another overcast day. Suddenly, the sun sliced through the clouds for a moment, illuminating the Tetons and Cascade Canyon with a sliver of light. The long exposure time necessary to properly expose the large-format film blurs the moving clouds and allows the many small wavelets in the water to combine softly, emphasizing the stillness.
